How do I choose a wedding photographer?

It’s not easy to decide, but here are a few tips to make it easier:
1. You must absolutely love the style of the photographer’s work. Have a look at all the examples of my style on this website. I offer a mixture of the elegant and timeless photos with a good selection of informal.
2. You are likely to spend many hours with your photographer and therefore we must be able to forge a strong relationship.

What do we need to do to secure our date?

To book our services for your wedding date, you will need to sign the contract and pay the deposit. Dates cannot be reserved without these.

What is candid Photography?

Candid Photography is about capturing the spontaneity of a moment. Candid wedding photos offer a relaxed approach to your wedding photography, the style is natural and timeless. Candid photography is also known as a photo-journalistic style that tells the story of your day.

Are your packages flexible?

The packages that are featured on the website are examples of our most popular, however we like to work with our clients and tailor the package to their individual needs.

Do you Photoshop the photos?

All our photos are capture in raw format, edited and colour corrected. We retouch our photos to a certain standard and our style. However if there are certain photos that you have chosen for the album that you would like retouched, then we can do this for you.

Do we get all of the photos?

Each of our weddings are edited and so we will give you only the best photos, we won’t give you any photos of people with their eyes closed or similar.

Who owns Copyright?

Upon final payment by the CLIENT, limited copyright ownership of the resulting images will be transferred to the CLIENT under the following conditions: The digital, film negatives and or slides are the property of CLIENT for personal use and for the purposes of the reproduction and giving of photographs to friends and relatives. The Client must obtain written permission from and compensate prior to the CLIENT or its friends and relatives publishing or selling the photographs for profit.

How long is the typical coverage for a wedding day?

We usually suggest commencing your coverage at the bridal preparation, and continuing until the end of the bridal dance. Extended coverage until the end of the reception is available. The exact number of hours required depends on your ceremony time and plans for your day.

How many photos are taken and how many locations can we go to during the day?

As many as you like! We shoot an unlimited amount of photos, usually estimating about 400-800

What type of equipment do you use?

We use the top of the line Nikon SLR cameras with a range of lenses from super wide to super zoom. This ensures we can capture the whole scene as a beautiful landscape, as well as the close up moments.

Do we get to keep the high resolution files/negatives from our wedding?

Yes, every package includes your high resolution files on DVD or USB.

How soon after our wedding will we get to see our photos?

Digital post processing and web gallery and/or CD creation takes approximately three weeks.

Do we get to pick the photos for our album?

Yes! CLIENT will then select photos to be placed in the album. Album preview will be available online for CLIENT approval prior printing. Album printing and delivery takes approximately 2 to 6 weeks.

Can I get my photos printed on canvas or as a framed enlargement?

Yes! We offer pro-lab printing direct from our web-site.

Can I change the inclusions in my package?

Yes, we are always willing to work with you to get you exactly what you would like in a package.

Do you ever work for anyone else?

Generally no, although we help other wedding photography companies when one of their staff has been ill or unavailable.

What happens if you are ill?

Over the years we have developed a great network with like-minded photographers. This means we have a pool of people to contact in the event of an absolute emergency.

I never feel comfortable in front of the camera – what can you do?

We don’t expect anyone to act like they have had modelling experience. We are comfortable with putting people into positions where they feel good and look their best to the camera. Our most popular coverage option includes a FREE pre-wedding shoot some weeks ahead of the wedding. This gives us chance to get to know each other a little and will make you feel a little more comfy in front of the lens.

Can you cover the bride and the groom getting ready in different locations?

If it’s logistically possible then yes. I usually cover both the bride and groom’s morning preparations. It really depends on the distances involved but we always try to accommodate it within reason.

How long do you keep the pictures for?

Your pictures will be archived permanently, so future reprints are no problem. However the price may rise if longer than 12 months.

Do you do provide Photo booth services?

Yes, we do.

Do you charge for Travel?

There is no charge for weddings or photo booth services for Perth metro area. Please check with photographer if you are not sure.
